That circuit will be added to the Wonawinta plant that is to treat ore from its Mount Boppy project in New South Wales. That project aims to bring the disused Mount Boppy pit back to life.

Cadia and Gekko came together in October to match Gekko's gravity treatment expertise with Cadia's knowledge of carbon desorption, regeneration and gold room systems.

Tim Bell, manager, sales and operations for Australasia and Europe, Middle East and Africa at Gekko Systems, said the partnership was aimed at boosting Gekko's capabilities.

"We see this as a great opportunity to add further value to the gold sector through the provision of high-quality packaged elution circuits and a natural fit with our already vast gold processing expertise," he said.

Under the partnership a Gekko-Cadia brand has been created.

Sandy Gray, technical director at Gekko Systems, expects the exclusive gold and silver mining collaboration will enable the two companies to share vital industry information from their learnings and in-house expertise. He added that he looked forward to increasing Gekko's technical range into carbon-in-pulp and carbon-in-leach carbon management and elution as well as gold room systems.

"Cadia will provide the core products and Gekko will assist in designing a fully engineering solution and tendering these products for clients and engineers," Gray said. "This expands Gekko's capacity to deliver significant solutions packages and minimises costs to the sector by providing a single point of procurement."
