Mine engineering company Metso Outotec has won a €23 million (US$27 million) order to deliver two primary crushing stations for an unspecified mine located in the Russian Far East.

The equipment, which is scheduled to be commissioned in 2023, includes two primary crushing stations with Metso Superior MKIII 60-110 gyratory crushers and 30 apron feeders.

"The new generation of gyratory crushers will help the mining and processing plant achieve its target capacity: the advantages of the new equipment will be fully implemented at the future mining and processing plant", says Alexey Muzychkin, president, Russia and CIS at Metso Outotec.

In its statement, Metso Outotec said the capacity of its new MKlll crusher is 25% higher than the capacity of the previous generation, reaching over 8000 tonnes an hour.

Metso Outotec, which completed its merger on June 30, 2020, also reported sales results this week that totalled US$2.38 billion, with US$1.70 billion coming from Metso Minerals and €579 (US$684 million) from Outotec.
