While it did not identify any other involved parties or release any financial details, the miner said it would provide carbon processing, storage and rail and/or truck loading services at the Davidson Branch preparation plant, part of the Perry County complex.

The work for the one-year agreement will start immediately after an initial trial period. It will be renewable annually.

Davidson Branch has a processing capacity of 1,300 tons per hour. With multiple stoker circuits, the miner said it selected the facility because of its ability to process to high specs.

The Kentucky operation produces a Blue Gem low-ash coal product, often used for applications such as ferrous metal alloys. American Resources considers it to be one of the lowest cost pulverized coal injection (PCI) and stoker assets in the US.
