The value of the deal is between EUR 30 and 40 million (US$35.6 million and $47.5 million) and has been booked on the company's metals orders for the March quarter.
The scope of the deal with the unidentified customer includes basic engineering and process technology for the Grate-Kiln pellet plant. It also involves the core proprietary equipment consisting of traveling grate, kiln and cooler, along with supervisory services for commissioning and spare parts.
"The energy-efficient Metso Outotec Grate-Kiln process produces pellets of uniform quality with low emissions, high availability, and it has low investment and operating costs," metals business arm president Jari Ålgars said.
"With its annual pellet production capacity of 6 million tons, the new plant will be the first large-scale Grate-Kiln pellet plant in the country."
