1911 starts 2021 reprocessing

It said yesterday it would evaluate equipment for pre-screening and dewatering material at the tailings impoundment area, which could significantly increase the tonnes processed and ounces produced.

It had noted in its latest MD&A that processing this year would be at a lower overall grade of about 0.7g/t and it was evaluating options to continue into 2022 and thereafter.

The operations had averaged 1,140 tonnes per day at an average grade of 0.8g/t during the 132 operating days in 2020, compared with 1,100tpd at 0.9g/t over the comparable 157 days in 2019.

The company's 2020 season had been delayed by six weeks due to COVID-19 restrictions.

President and CEO Ron Clayton said favourable weather conditions had enabled an early restart of operations this year.

 

He also said the field exploration season was set to start in the coming weeks.

1911 has 55,500ha within and adjacent to the Archean Rice Lake greenstone belt in Manitoba, plus the Apex project at Snow Lake and the Tully and Denton-Keefer projects in Ontario.
