The Toronto-based miner said commissioning at Eagle took place in July and August, and it is currently on schedule to ramp up operations. In addition, it now has a fully staffed management team and is in control of the site.

First gold pour has been scheduled for September 17, and the milestone will be live streamed on the company's website.

"Over one million tonnes of ore have been mined from the Eagle pit, which is 60% ahead of schedule for 2019," the company said. "With the acceleration of the construction schedule, over 3Mt of ore will be delivered to the heap-leach pad by 2019 year-end."

To date, almost 700,000t from Eagle have been stacked on the heap-leach pad. The remaining 300,000t of mined ore has been stockpiled and is being used to accelerate the delivery of additional ore to the heap-leach pad this year.

Additionally, ore leaching activities are under way at Eagle, with gold in solution currently being loaded onto carbon at the now fully operational recovery plant.

Eagle, situated at the Dublin Gulch property, is located 375km north of Whitehorse. It is accessible by road year-round, and is located within Yukon Energy's electrical grid.
