Tombstone to start Bonanza Harquahala production

Gold, silver and copper miner Tombstone Exploration is wrapping up construction.

The company has crushed 25,000 tons of rock as a precursor to stacking, to allow for a quick start to leaching and recovery, it said.

"After all of the COVID-19 related schedule delays such as losing most our liner crew for almost three months, permit delays in the final water well approval, and finding a water well driller, everything is finally coming together for start-up," said Alan Brown, Tombstone Exploration chief executive and president.

An agglomerator for ore agglomeration was located is set-up for operation, while all ore feeding equipment, conveyors, cement silo, stacker and feeder will be put in place early this week.

The company added that the leach pad and all of the associated piping and processing equipment have been installed, with final electrical installation to be completed this week.

The Bonanza mine property includes the Harquahala and Golden Eagle mines. Located in Salome, it is 40% owned by Tombstone and 60% held by Goldrock Resources. The joint venture is called Bonanza Mining. The project totals 2,656 acres.
