The phone and network can be used as a primary communication solution for harsh underground environments.
The Cortex solution has push-to-talk, VoIP, a voice and messaging server, tracking capability and emergency broadcast functionality. These features allow personnel underground to communicate with one another and the control room, via preferred communication method. For customers of the MST MinePhone (MP71), the Cortex solution seamlessly integrates with this product.
Jeremy Hanrahan, software product manager at MST Global, said: "The benefit of using this communication solution is it's an all in one solution.
