Hexagon subsidiary IDS GeoRadar's IBIS Guardian software, which creates geofenced zones and hazard maps, has been integrated with the HxGN MineProtect Collision Avoidance System (CAS) 4.6, which provides real-time equipment visualisation with timely alerts about hazardous areas for people and machinery.

If anyone approaches the no-go zones identified by IBIS Guardian, CAS 4.6 and other HxGN MineProtect solutions, Personal Alert and Tracking Radar, ensure that alarms are automatically triggered.

"The additional layer of information created by this integration means better risk evaluation and is one more way to ensure everyone gets home safely," said Nick Hare, President of Hexagon's Mining division.

"It's also a great example of our autonomous connected ecosystems strategy - connecting previously siloed processes in one platform that will save lives," said Hare.

Long-term displacement trends can also be recorded due to the software's capacity to store long-term datasets.
