Sensemetrics, Ackcio team up for mine monitoring

Sensemetrics is expanding further into underground environments for its technology.

The partnership is to support their customers' automation efforts for the use of geotechnical and structural instrumentation in those envoronments.

The companies want to combine sensemetrics' software-driven productivity tools and real-time data insights with Ackcio's proven wireless monitoring offerings.

The products will allow customers to automate the collection of condition monitoring data as well as to manage and analyze it using sensemetrics' software, with the aim of mitigating risk, reducing environmental impact, and improving safety.

With this alliance, sensemetrics is building on its strategy to expand further into underground environments. 

"Ackcio's long range mesh technology is widely recognised as superior for tunneling and underground industrial environments," said sensemetrics chief executive Cory Baldwin, adding: "There's simply no other solution that is as effective."

Sensemetrics offers a cloud-based IIoT enterprise software platform that simplifies connectivity and standardizes industrial sensor data.

Ackcio makes wireless monitoring solutions for industrial applications. Its Ackcio Beam wireless monitoring product range provides long-range wireless mesh connectivity suited for monitoring various geotechnical and structural sensors in surface and underground construction and mining projects.
