UGL has won new rail and mining services contracts

In the mining services sector the contracts, some up to three years, are to deliver multi-disciplinary services including mechanical and piping, electrical and instrumentation, painting, and insulation services.

The bulk of the rail work is in the civil transport sphere for Transport New South Wales to increase the size of its New Intercity Fleet.

However, it has also been hired to build four diesel locomotives for Pacific National.

UGL managing director Jason Spears said the contracts reflected the company's strong ongoing relationships.
