L&T wins Komatsu supply deal for Tata

Indian engineering procurement company Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has won an order to supply 46 units of Komatsu mining equipment to Tata Steel at Indian iron ore and coal mines.

Most units will be deployed at Tata Steel’s Iron Ore Mines at Joda, Noamundi and Khondbond in Odisha

The LT order includes 41 Komatsu HD785-7 100t dump trucks, three Komatsu WA900-3E0 wheel loaders, and two of Komatsu's D275A-5R 410HP crawler dozers. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

Tata Steel's iron ore mines at Joda, Noamundi and Khondbond in Odisha will be allocated 21 of the dump trucks and the wheel loaders and crawler dozers, while the remaining 20 dump trucks will be deployed at the West Bokaro coal mines in Jharkhand.
