As of April 1, all Wenco products and frontline technical support services throughout Australia, New Zealand, New Caledonia, and Papua New Guinea will be handled directly by Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia (HCA).

Since 2009, Wenco has operated as a wholly owned subsidiary of HCM. The company stated that through this arrangement and its acquisition of Automated Positioning Systems last year, it has gained significant ground in Australia thanks to major projects such as Roy Hill, Maules Creek and Stanwell. With exclusive sales distribution and technical support through HCA, Wenco expects to further increase its foothold in this region.

All sales, operations, parts, and support will now occur through HCA's numerous branch offices across the Asia-Pacific region. The Wenco Brisbane facility will continue in operation with a stronger focus on system development, quality assurance, and certified hardware repairs.
