Carlson Machine Control integrates with Rototilt

Integration is for Carlson's GPS-based machine guidance system

The integration is for Carlson's GPS-based machine guidance system, Carlson Grade for Excavators and Shovels, which provides GPS machine guidance for operators with cut/fill colour mapping, directional dig to design using surfaces or block models, and accurate visualisation for building to elevation.

A tiltrotator is a hydraulic attachment used on some excavators that transform them into efficient multifunctional tool carriers, allowing them to perform multiple functions on a job site using limited space and reduced manpower. It allows the excavator bucket to be rotated by 360° and tilted by 40°, increasing the flexibility and precision of the excavator while increasing overall safety.

Carlson said that the integration partnership is a result of industry demand for advanced solutions aboard heavy equipment. Rototilt's tiltrotator system, in combination with Carlson Machine Control's system, will increase efficiency and productivity as the dual integration makes it possible for operators to work with fewer movements, and provides detailed accuracy for positioning and excavation.

Tim Jones, director of Carlson Machine Control, said: "Machine control and tiltrotators change the game for excavation. When you bring our solutions together, your output possibilities and operational capability increase immensely
