Stantec wins Bull River TSF design contract

Engineering group to design TSF for Braveheart in British Columbia.

Braveheart management is working towards a restart of the mine near Cranbrook.

The company needs a new TSF to manage tailings waste from processing an existing stockpile of mineralized material on the surface and future underground mining.

The preferred tailings deposition technology is dry stack tailings and Braveheart has identified a site adjacent to the process plant and within the permit boundary.

Should Stantec identify other technologies as better options for the project, Stantec and Braveheart will review the impacts on the regulatory application process.

Wholly-owned Bull River has a mineral resource containing copper, gold, cobalt and silver.

The property is fully developed with 21,000 metres of underground developments on seven levels. The surface infrastructure includes a 750 tonne per day conventional mill with adjoining crushing facilities as well as offices and mine maintenance facilities.

Bull River is connected to grid power and there is year-round access by paved and all-weather roads.
