The deal, announced February 3, has a term of three years and was effective from February 1.

Babylon has provided dewatering services to BHP since 2018 and will now be its contractor through January 31, 2023. The new contract expands upon the equipment and services to be provided while securing the existing business.

The service company said the contract could contribute revenue of about A$9 million over its term.

Babylon executive chairman Michel Shelby said the firm was grateful for the miner's confidence and was looking forward to continuing its strong and positive partnership.
