Minetec golden with Olympic Dam deal

The A$9.5 million (US$7.2 million) deal includes proximity detection, tracking and task management, with half delivered during the current fiscal year and the balance delivered in FY19.

"This important milestone validates the competitive position of Minetec's proprietary mine management solution, developed by Minetec since its acquisition by Codan in 2012," the company said. 

BHP announced last November that it was planning an expansion to the copper operation north of Adelaide to boost production capacity. Considered one of the world's largest orebodies, it contains gold, uranium and silver, in addition to copper.
