The financial details of the deal were not disclosed, though CQMS said it would be acquiring BFT's mining products and associated intellectual property including patents, as well as its new product development pipeline, branding and trademarks.

According to CQMS Razer CEO John Barbagallo, the newly added line will completement its current product range, and the united companies will be able to deliver strong benefits for the industry.

"The combined business will enhance capabilities to effectively supply and support the global mining sector, especially in the North and South American markets where BFT has been providing the industry with innovative products for more than 50 years," he said.

"Together, we will broaden our product offering, increase our technology and solutions footprint and enhance our supply chain capability."

California-based BFT has supplied mining equipment components to North and South American mines since the 1960s.

CQMS Razer is dual-headquartered in the US and Australia.
