Purpose-built for high-tonnage, fine screening applications—particularly for hard rock and HPGR circuits—this next-generation screen sets a new benchmark in performance, reliability and efficiency.

  1. Exceptional Screening Efficiency and Throughput
    The ENDURON® Elite screen's multi-slope banana deck design ensures rapid stratification and efficient separation across the full particle size distribution. This results in higher throughput and more accurate classification, particularly in demanding applications like HPGR discharge circuits, which often involve high recirculation loads and fine cut sizes (1–4 mm). The screen's ability to handle these conditions with precision makes it ideal for modern, high-capacity operations.

  2. Reduced Maintenance and Downtime
    A key innovation is the use of just two patented ETX exciters—featuring the largest vibration-duty bearings in the world—capable of driving a screen with a deck measuring 4.3m x 8.5m. Screens of this size typically require three exciters. This not only simplifies the mechanical design but also reduces structural stress and the number of components requiring maintenance. The ETX exciters are strategically mounted close to the side-plates to minimise deflection, extending service life and reducing structural complexity. For customers, this translates to lower maintenance costs, fewer spare parts, and improved equipment availability.

    Engineered for giga-cycle fatigue and dynamic loading, the ENDURON® Elite screen incorporates advanced wear-resistant materials and LINATEX® premium rubber linings, ensuring long-term durability even in corrosive environments. The ETX exciters feature optimised casting geometries—developed using advanced simulation and additive manufacturing—that improve cooling, lubrication, and structural integrity. These enhancements extend bearing life, reduce oil change intervals, and lower operating temperatures, all contributing to greater reliability and uptime.

    The ENDURON® Elite screen plays a central role in Weir's transformational flowsheet, which replaces traditional tumbling mills with ENDURON® HPGRs and vertical stirred mills.
