Orsu Metals has reached an agreement with Russian producer Zapadnaya Gold Mining to use the latter's Alexandrovskoye mine and gold-processing plant, which is located immediately to the west from the Sergeevskoe license border.

Under the agreement, the parties will process a first trial batch of gold-mineralised material and will then finalise the commercial aspects of pilot mining and processing activities.

Orsu has completed a Russian technical study, which was approved by mining authorities, for extraction of 1,050,000 tonnes of mineralised material over three years from North and South open pits to a depth of 30-35 metres.

The Sergeevskoe licence covers an area of 7.6 square kilometres and is located approximately 40 kilometers to the southwest of the town of Mogocha.
