PRESS RELEASE: The geospatial mining tool can now digitally document, collect and georeference large data sets and information within indoor environments.

The Heron family of products is suitable for facility management, geospatial applications, digital 3-D documentation, digital twins for remote planning and revamping projects at industrial plants.

Heron also integrates with its OrbitGT packages, and users can utilise the free GoBlueprint fast point clouds 2-D visualisation tool to share their 3-D mapping results with clients in the field in nearly real time.

"Now, point clouds coming from drones and/or static scans, as GNSS known points, can become constraints information inside the workflow of the Heron 3-D Slam data processing," Gexcel officials said of the wearable camera system, which also features real-time change detection.

The Heron family is made up of the Heron AC-2 and the Heron MS-2 rugged device for underground mines or difficult environments; both are available in a colour configuration. For those seeking affordability in their investment, it also offers the Heron Lite model.
