PRESS RELEASE: The Peruvian gold mining company chose the non-nuclear density meter (SDM) from Rhosonics for this measuring task, and is now using the measuring output to control the speed reference of the pumps and closing and opening of automatic valves for recirculation of the slurry when the density is below the desired value.

Further automation of the filtering plant was realised using the SDM slurry density meter, which saves time spent on manual measurements and additionally increases the efficiency of the filters because of an adequate density at the tailings filtering stage. Another benefit is that the Rhosonics ultrasonic density meter does not require any licences, permits or specialised personnel.
