Galane Gold begins commercial production at Galaxy

Galane Gold has begun commercial production at its Galaxy gold mine in South Africa.

Galane increased production at the mine in the December quarter.

Gold production guidance for 2022 estimates payable gold ounces of between 15,500 to 18,500 ounces, while 2023 will see production of between 24,000 ounces and 27,000 ounces.

By the end of 2023, Galaxy will only be operating at 70% of the current plant capacity.

The company has begun a review of options to increase production by exploiting 21 other mineralised bodies at the Galaxy mine. Galaxy plans to provide an update in the March quarter of 2022 from drilling on the initial 22 level.

Galane Gold has operations in South Africa, Botswana, and New Mexico.
